The Top 10 Reasons Students Cannot Cite or Rely On Wikipedia
- Don't rely on one source
- Unknown authors
- Information is most likely biased.
- Wikipedia editing team might have their own agendas in deciding what to keep and what to eliminate.
- Some malicious entries go uncorrected for months
- The editing team is not diverse enough
- The number of active Wikipedia editors stopped growing
- It's harder now for occasional contributors to participate due to strict "deletion" policy
- Accurate contributors can be silenced
- It say so on Wikipedia. "We do not expect you to trust us" and “Users should be aware that not all articles are of encyclopedic quality from the start: they may contain false or debatable information.”
